چکیده
In aquaculture, commercial fish such as red hybrid tilapia are usually raised at high density to boost the production within a short period of time. This overcrowded environment, however, may cause stress cultured and increase susceptibility infectious diseases. Antibiotics chemotherapeutics used by farmers overcome these challenges, but this cost. Studies have reported on potential mushroom polysaccharides that can act immunostimulants enhance immune response disease resistance in fish. current study, hot water extract (HWE) from stalk waste (MSW) was formulate feed hence administered observe activation system. Upon 30 days feeding, were challenged with pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) lipopolysaccharides (LPS) polyinosinic:polycytidylic acid (poly (I:C)) mimic bacterial viral infection, respectively. HWE supplementation promoted better utilisation although it did not body weight gain specific growth rate compared control diet. The innate immunological parameters phagocytic activity respiratory burst significantly higher HWE-supplemented group than following PAMPs challenges. diet also resulted mRNA transcription il1b tnfa midgut, spleen head kidney 1-day post injection. Tlr3 exhibited highest upregulation fed injected poly (I:C). At 3-days injection, both ighm tcrb expression upregulated kidney. Results showed enhances responses induced serum bactericidal against S. agalactiae.

COPD disease severity and innate immune response to pathogen-associated molecular patterns
The airways of COPD patients are often colonized with bacteria leading to increased airway inflammation. This study sought to determine whether systemic cytokine responses to microbial pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) are increased among subjects with severe COPD. In an observational cross-sectional study of COPD subjects, PAMP-induced cytokine responses were measured in whole blo...
متن کاملPathogen recognition in the innate immune response.
Immunity against microbial pathogens primarily depends on the recognition of pathogen components by innate receptors expressed on immune and non-immune cells. Innate receptors are evolutionarily conserved germ-line-encoded proteins and include TLRs (Toll-like receptors), RLRs [RIG-I (retinoic acid-inducible gene-I)-like receptors] and NLRs (Nod-like receptors). These receptors recognize pathoge...
متن کاملThe Challenge for Gene Therapy: Innate Immune Response to Adenoviruses
Adenoviruses are the most commonly used vectors for gene therapy. Despite the promising safety profile demonstrated in clinical trials, the efficacy of using adenoviruses for gene therapy is poor. A major hurdle to adenoviral-mediated gene therapy is the innate immune system. Cell-mediated recognition of viruses via capsid components or nucleic acids has received significant attention, principa...
متن کاملTailoring the Immune Response via Customization of Pathogen Gene Expression
The majority of studies focused on the construction and reengineering of bacterial pathogens have mainly relied on the knocking out of virulence factors or deletion/mutation of amino acid residues to then observe the microbe's phenotype and the resulting effect on the host immune response. These knockout bacterial strains have also been proposed as vaccines to combat bacterial disease. Theoreti...

Iodine is the main ingredient produced by the thyroid hormone, which playa a central role in the metabolism and the immune system. The present study aims to evaluate the effects of feeding Artemia fransiscana enriched with potassium iodide on antioxidant and immune gene expression in zebra fish (Danio rerio). Zebra larvae with an average weight of 2±0.01 mg were randomly distributed into 4 trea...
